Mid Autumn Festival, or Zhongqiu Jie 中秋节, is a time for loved ones to reunite. A joyous occasion, focusing on family and abundance with over 2,000 years of history.
To celebrate the fourth Mid-Autumn Festival dinner, Kato has invited the team from Moon Rabbit in Washington DC for a two night collaborative menu that will feature roughly 9 courses and include the choice between a wine, alcohol-free, or cocktail pairing. There will be no accommodations for dietary restrictions or allergies.
At Moon Rabbit, Chef Kevin Tien explores Vietnamese cooking through the lens of his upbringing in Louisiana and life in Washington, D.C. Together with Chef Susan Bae, he brings those influences to the table through savory and pastry, combining Vietnamese flavors, Southern influences, and modern technique with their own experiences and perspectives.
