Solo exhibition by Palestinian-American artist Charles Karim Aweida
Join Friday Gallery for an opening reception with the artist on Friday, September 22, 7–9pm.
An echo carries a voice across distance, changed but never disconnected from its source. In SADA / On Echoes, Aweida translates this idea into metallic bodies — folded waves, spirals, and gradient fields built from precise aluminum geometries shaped by grand-scale robotics working alongside his own hand. The result is a body of work about diaspora, memory, and inheritance: what shifts, fades, or transforms across distance, and what survives the journey regardless.
Distance can alter the echo. It cannot erase its origin.
